Dr. Isidore Rudnick is a nationally recognized American jazz educator, composer and arranger, jazz trombonist and conductor. For over thirty years, Dr. Rudnick has worked with students in secondary schools and colleges and universities from the United States and Europe. He holds a Bachelors of Music Degree in Jazz Studies and a Masters of Music Degree in Composition from the University of North Texas and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami (Florida).  Early in his career, he had the opportunity to live in Poland from 1988-1991.  During this time, Dr. Rudnick taught jazz courses at the Academy of Music in Kraków, the Mieczysław Karłowicz State Music School in Nowa Huta and the Władysław Żeleński State Secondary School of Music in Kraków. Dr. Rudnick has previously served as the Music Department Coordinator at the University of Maine at Augusta, Director of Instrumental Music at Yakima Valley Community College in Washington State and Artistic Director at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati. Dr. Rudnick is currently the Fine & Performing Arts Curriculum Manager for Cincinnati Public Schools where he oversees all creative and academic activities in the arts at CPS. 

Dr. Rudnick is the recipient of several awards and honors including: Polish Ministry of Culture Medal (1992), University of Maine at Augusta Faculty Award of Excellence (1996), Down Beat Magazine Outstanding Performance Award with the University of Miami Studio Jazz Band (1998), University of Miami Award of Academic Merit (1998), Yakima Valley Community College Presidential Citation (2001), and the Ohio Art Education Distinguished Arts Educator Award (2017). He has been invited to perform and teach throughout the United States, Europe and China. 

An accomplished composer and arranger, Dr. Rudnick has written works for large and small jazz ensembles, chamber ensembles, symphony orchestra and wind band. His music has been performed by the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, The Yakima Symphony Orchestra, The University of North Texas Lab Bands, The Corbett String Quartet, The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music Symphonic Band, Conundrum, The OMEA District Honor Jazz Bands and many other ensembles. His music is published by his own company, Isidore Rudnick Music. 

As a performer and conductor, Dr. Rudnick has shared the stage with prominent American jazz artists including Jimmy Heath, Slide Hampton, Eddie Gomez and David “Fathead” Newman as well as European jazz artists including Janusz Muniak, Jarek Smietana, Zbigniew Wegehaupt, Kazimierz Jonkisz and Bogdan Holownia.
